  • All cancellations and refunds are based on the date of written notification to the stay.
  • It takes at least 2 business days or more for written notice.
  • If you cancel a confirmed reservation within the penalty period, you will be refunded excluding a 4% fee for tax and transaction expenses.
  • Full refund will be made if the guest provides documents that prove flight/ship cancellation due to bad weather on the check-in day.
HAND OVER STAY VOUCHER
  • Resale, hand-over, transfer, or exchange of stay vouchers is prohibited.

GUIDELINES
  • The service contents and information on the website may vary depending on the stay's condition.
  • About 20 local districts in Japan collect hotel accommodation tax for the purpose of promoting tourism. An accommodation tax of up to 1,000 JPY per person and night may be additionally charged upon check-in.
  • No smoking in any areas of the property. Special cleaning fee is charged in case of violation.
  • A valid government issued photo ID (passport) is required during check-in.
  • Rooms are assigned randomly. It is not possible to designate specific rooms.
  • 5 rooms above will be quoted under group rate and rate will change.
  • Compensation fee will be charged in case of loss or damage to bedding, equipment, facilities etc.
  • Commercial photography and video shooting without prior agreement are not allowed.

  • The Kitchen Kanra
    The Kitchen Kanra cooks mainly seafood and vegetable protected by tradition in a simple manner, by "chargrilling", in order to bring out the essence of each food and serve meals that bring the flavorful joys of the season to its guests. You can taste more than 150 kinds of pizzas and oven dishes made in a 600°C kiln.

  • Hanaroku
    You can have dishes with Japanese seasonal ingredients mainly from Kyoto. You can enjoy traditional Japanese dishes as well as Wagyu beef with special selected Sake from small sake breweries in Kyoto.
    There are various kinds of seats available which are suitable for your any special occasions.
  • Kanra Lounge
    Including traditional desserts that have been recognized for a long time in Kanra,
    you can enjoy hand-drip coffee made with locally sourced beans.

    As using Japanese original method or plants, you can experience ultimate relaxing Kyoto-styled spa. Each of 4 rooms have a different motif: "cloth", "soil", "wood" and "paper".

    KINTSUGI is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. As a philosophy, it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise or just buy new. With KINTSUGI, you can see what you haven't seen and feel comfortable keeping it longer.

    For guests who have spare time before and after check-in, you can take a tour around various historical sites such as Higashi Honganji Temple and Shosei-en, and walk through the historic sites of Kyoto recommended by the staff to get a deeper understanding of the culture of Kyoto.
