If you follow Bori Madang-gil in Naju-si, Jeollanam-do, you will encounter 'Staybori' at the end of the friendly scenery. The host left the rafters in a hanok built in 1926 and reconstructed it in his own color. Joan Miro's posters, tiles, chairs, and flower pots are painted in a variety of colors to add a sense of serenity and liveliness. Exotic music flows through the space. As if I had created a space I had been drawing for a long time, I wanted to give people like myself a place to collect and edit pieces of their thoughts. I named that heart as the word ‘normal ideal’, and named it ‘barley’ by taking the representative syllables one by one.
Outside, there is a grassy yard facing the expansive sky. If you sit on a chair in the yard and close your eyes, you will hear the sound of the landscape shaking under the eaves. In the kitchen, you can open the windows so you can look into the sky while making coffee. How about going out in search of a space where you can gather inspiration from your daily life and free time?
Through the long window, you can see the lawn yard planted with plum and persimmon trees. Feel at peace in the warm sunlight.
A space for new inspiration and recharging. Books and beam projects curated by the host are available.
Experience relaxation in the footbath area decorated with vintage tiles and stained glass from Madrid.
