Touchstone of Korean Design Hostel
Three friends who aspired after European and Japanese hostel culture created the first Korean design hostel in one of the most popular travel destination Suncheon. Born in collaboration with various brands such as design group Z_Lab, Baguni Hostel adopted the concept of “Holding, sharing, and using it together,” along with other branding elements such as The Basterds Café, capsule beds and coin system. It’s an open space providing new user experience to travelers in their 20s to 30s.
Baguni hostel has various types of rooms including 8-bed dormitory, twin room, double room, 3-bed deluxe room, and a two-story family room. The Basterds is a café and pub where you can communicate and interact with travelers from all over the world. All the desirable aspects—Suncheon’s travel information, open view, comfortable room and being able to meet and communicate with others—are contained in the name Baguni, meaning basket in Korean, in a friendly and simple way.
From breakfast to bicycle rental, laundry service and useful items for your trip, a small coin you will receive upon check-in will be quite useful during your stay. It’s only 5 minutes away from Suncheon Station, which offers easy access to famous tourist spots in the city such as Suncheon Bay or Naganeupseong Fortress. I recommend looking around Suncheon’s traditional market and night market, and rent a bicycle at the hostel to look around Dongcheon River.
