KAI Yufuin has two types of large communal hot spring baths: indoor baths and open-air baths. Relax in an open space overlooking the majestic Mt. Yufu.

We offer kaiseki (Japanese multi-course meals) with a full mountain feel, including rice, seasonal vegetables, seafood, wild boar and badger meat.

From the "Terrace Terrace", where you can see the terraced rice fields at a glance, you can see the entire terraced rice field and the surrounding mountains, so you can spend time as if you were in the original scenery of Yufuin.

호시노 리조트 카이 중 가장 최근 오픈된 "카이 유후인"은 자연이 풍요로운 오이타현에 위치한다. 오이타현은 오래전부터 논이 유명한 것으로 잘 알려져 있다. 온천으로 유명한 지역인 유후인에도 계단식 논이 펼쳐져 있고, 카이 유후인 부지 내에도 이러한 계단식 논의 풍경을 살려 설계되었다. 이런 아름다운 작품을 디자인한 사람은 전 세계적으로도 유명한 일본 건축가 쿠마 켄고다. 쿠마 켄고가 말하길 계단식 논이 때로는 일본 전통 정원보다 더 아름답다고 여겨 계단식 논의 형태를 살려 카이 유후인을 설계했다. 아름다운 전원의 풍경과 자연을 한껏 만끽하고 온천에 몸을 담그며 여유롭게 일상의 피로를 풀어보는 체험을 하기 바란다.

KAI Yufuin, the most recently opened stay amongst the many properties of Hoshino Resorts, is located in Oita Prefecture, a place rich in nature. This region has long been known for its vast rice fields and famous hot springs. Intentional with this locality trait in mind, the landscape of rice terraces is well integrated into the design of the property. This beautiful work was designed by Kengo Kuma, a world-famous Japanese architect. Quote on quote, the architect sometimes feels that terraced rice fields are more appealing than traditional Japanese gardens. This perspective was well incorporated into the design philosophy of Kai Yufuin. Please enjoy the beautiful countryside scenery and take advantage of nature to the fullest, while soaking in the hot springs and truly relaxing and relieving the fatigue of everyday life.

객실은 5개 타입이 있으며 모든 객실에 유명한 공예가인 이와키리 치카가 하나하나 수제로 만든 '반딧불 바구니' 조명이 있다. 나선형 모양이 특징인 '반딧불 바구니'는 유후인 물가에 서식하는 반딧불을 이미지화하여 마치 바구니 안에 반딧불이 살아있는 것처럼 옅은 빛이 점멸하는 것이 특징이다. 또한 오이타현은 전통 공예 대나무 세공도 유명하다. 대나무로 만든 헤드보드나 소파에서 자연 속에서 지내는 듯한 편안함을 느껴보길 바란다. 실내의 큰 창문에서는 마치 액자에 담긴 사진과 같은 풍경을 감상할 수 있으며, 프라이빗한 공간에서 노천탕을 즐길 수 있는 객실도 준비되어 있다.

There are 5 types of guest rooms, and all rooms have 'firefly baskets' lights handcrafted to the smallest detail, by the famous craftsman Chika Iwakiri. The 'firefly basket', features a spiral shape, reminiscent of fireflies living in the waters of Yufuin, and features a flickering light as if the fireflies are alive in the basket. Oita Prefecture is also famous for traditional craft bamboo work. Embrace the comfort of being in nature resting on a bamboo headboard or sofa. Enjoy the view from the large window inside, the picture-perfect framed scenery. Other room features also include an open-air bath for pure relaxation in the comfort of a private space.

There are two types of public baths at KAI Yufuin: indoor bath and open-air bath. Both offer an open space overlooking the majestic Mount Yufu.

From "Paddy Field Terrace" you can see the rice field and the surrounding mountains at a glance.

You can enjoy delicious coffee along with books on local history, culture, nature and crafts.
- Shop
You can purchase a variety of souvenirs, including local traditional crafts and sweets.
