아름다운 올레 8코스의 논짓물과 멋진 절벽인 박수기정이 있는 대평리 사이, 조용한 바닷가 마을인 하예하동에는 쉘 아티스트 '쉘리'의 조개 작품 전시공간과 작업실 그리고 '에이 쉘 인 제주'가 있습니다. 쉘리는 직접 바닷가 주변에서 채집한 조가비를 모아 공간을 꾸몄습니다. 이곳에 배치된 독특한 예술작품과 모아둔 조가비를 보면 마치 인어공주가 만든 바닷속 세계에 있는 듯한 느낌이 듭니다. 

Haye-dong is a village of local female divers, haenyo, located between Jusangjeolli Coastal Cliff and Daepyeong-ri. And “A Shell in Jeju” run by a shell artist Shelly, is nestled in this quiet seaside village. For your information, the host has collected seashells from seaside to decorate the studio and exhibition space. Unique artworks and a vast collection of seashells in the place invites guests into the moment that would feel like exploring underseas.  

美しいオルレ8コースの田んぼと素敵な絶壁であるパクスギジョンがある大坪里の間、静かな海辺の村であるハイェハドンにはシェルアーティスト「シェリー」の貝作品展示空間と作業室、そして「A shell in Jeju」があります。シェリーは直接海辺の周辺で採集した貝殻を集めて空間を作りました。ここに配置された独特の芸術作品と集められた貝殻を見ると、まるで人魚姫が作った海の中の世界にいるような感感覚になります。

Behind the village where A Shell in Jeju is located, Gunsan, one of the tallest oreum, parasitic cones in the island is standing that you can enjoy sunrise or sunset. Climbing the parasitic cone, you can get away from crowded tourist attractions and get immersed in serenity. To explore the neighborhood and experience local life, you may also take a look at the booklet prepared by the host.
