Pioneering a new era for hospitality in one of the world’s greatest cities, the storied Crown Building has been transformed into Aman New York. Formerly the first home of the iconic Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), the 100-year-old building is Aman’s first urban residential property. A select offering of 22 private homes sits atop the 83-suite hotel, providing the guests with a top-notch state-of-the-art Aman experience.
Homage to the significant history, the multi-disciplinary design approach reimagined by star architect, Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston, is evident in the striking architecture as well as the harmonious ethos and values that Aman stands for; the warm hospitality of a gracious private home, instilling a sense of peace and belonging. From neutral, calming interiors that take inspiration from Japanese minimalism, to highly finesse craftsmanship of murals that celebrate the influence of the Pre-Edo period, and a functioning fireplace installed in every suite, a true rarity in Manhattan.
