The owner of Barn Stay, who moved to Taipei from Korea, first ran a successful cafe and worked as a photographer, getting off to a good start. However, from a certain point on, a spiritual emptiness followed him. With a tired mood, he often traveled back and forth to Yilan, which is about one and a half hours away from Taipei, and then fell in love with the sea here and moved to Yilan around 2017. The mountains and the sea in Yilan are huge and awe-inspiring. In front of the mysterious nature, people often realize how small they are. It's like a leaf swaying in the wind, a melody hummed casually, or a bird foraging in a field. In the pursuit of efficiency and convenience, is it possible to achieve a more progressive and happier life through huge messages and goods? The idea of Barn Stay was born out of a reflection on modern life.

Barn Stay's second and third floors are planned as two different types of double rooms, welcoming travelers with an open and creative layout; the first floor is a coffee/selected shop; and the 7,200square meter outdoor private botanical garden welcomes all the tired people to come and rest well. The large private botanical garden allows visitors to enjoy meditation in the most comfortable state. Simply sitting and staring at something, soaking up the sunlight without doing anything, or taking a deep breath while enjoying the forest's fragrant essence, you'll feel energized and refreshed in some way. In addition, you can experience romantic moments during your stay at Barn Stay with a selection of books, music, and art exhibits. Every corner of the Barn Stay is a showcase of long-time, meticulous preparation, which is unparalleled anywhere else.
