호랑이 사원(趣虎家)에서 뜻을 취하다

강원도 평창 호명리 마을로 들어오는 입구에는 호랑이 동상이 자리 잡고 있다. 산으로 둘러싸인 길을 따라가면 나지막한 언덕 위에 '취호가(趣虎家)'가 보인다. 취는 '마음이 쏠리는 방향'을 의미하며 그 방향은 우리네 마음 깊은 곳에 있는 뜻을 말한다. 범을 뜻하는 호(虎)는 ‘호명리 마을에 있던 큰 바위 위에 호랑이가 자주 올라와 울었다.’라는 이곳의 전설과도 연결된다. 예로부터 호랑이는 고통에서 벗어나게 하는 산군이라 여겨졌다. 삶의 방향이 흔들리는 이들에게 온전한 쉼을 제공해 자신의 뜻을 찾아갈 수 있길 바라는 마음을 담아 호스트는 병두산 언덕 위에 호랑이 사원을 지었다.

A tiger statue is located at the entrance to Homyeong-ri Village, Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do. If you follow the road surrounded by mountains, you can see 'Chwihoga' on a low hill. Chwi means 'the direction in which the mind is drawn', and that direction refers to the meaning deep in our hearts. Ho (虎), which means tiger, is also connected with the legend of this place: “A tiger often climbed up and cried on a large rock in Homyeong-ri village.” Since ancient times, tigers have been considered a mountain group to relieve suffering. The host built a tiger temple on the hill of Byeongdusan in the hopes that they could find their will by providing complete rest to those whose direction of life is shaken.

The cocktail kit is carefully selected by the host according to the season and has a different composition. Chihoga provides a private experience through drawing books or books so that it can become a space of comfort and escape from everyday stress.

- 침구나 비품, 시설 등에 심각한 오염, 파손 및 분실이 발생한 경우 변상비가 청구됩니다.
- 취사 가능한 숙소이나, 연기와 냄새가 나는 음식(고기, 해산물 등)의 조리를 금지합니다. * 평온 객실에 경우 취사 금지입니다. 
- 침실 전면 유리에 스티커 및 테이프 부착을 금지합니다 (보호필름이 장착되어 있습니다).
- 셀프 칵테일 키트는 예약 시 별도의 신청으로 이용 가능합니다.
- 제공되는 도서는 퇴실 시 반납하셔야 합니다.

- 배수의 문제가 발생할 수 있는 입욕 용품(각종 꽃잎, 포프리, 약초 등)의 사용을 제한합니다.
- 실외 노천탕은 미리 청소 및 물을 받아 셋팅되며, 추가 장작을 제공하여 온수를 유지하도록 운영됩니다. 당일 사용 후 물을 뺄 경우 더이상 이용이 불가합니다.

- Check-in is 4 pm, check-out is 12 pm.
- You will receive a text message with the check-in instructions on the morning of your arrival date.
- Exceeding the maximum occupancy is prohibited.
- Only guests listed on the reservation can enter the property.
- Please always remain vigilant to prevent safety accidents in the stay.
- No smoking in any areas of the property. Special cleaning fee is charged in case of violation.
- Usage of flammable items is strictly prohibited in all areas of the property.
- Compensation fee will be charged in case of loss or damage to bedding, equipment, facilities etc.
- Please refrain from cooking any food with strong odors or smoke inside of the property.
- Stickers and tapes are prohibited on the glass of the bedroom (a protective film is installed).
- A self-made cocktail kit is available upon request when making the reservation.
- Books provided must be returned before check-out.
