In a tranquil citrus grove and garden in Hoegun-dong, Seogwipo, the touch of the next-door sister who moved in 30 years ago can be found. With time and stories accumulated over the years, there are various stays to be found. Each stay is finished harmoniously with the surrounding environment, focusing on the beautiful things that have blossomed from this land. One can discover serene and shimmering aspects scattered throughout.
Divided into 'Place' and 'Everywhere', the two buildings stand side by side in the garden. The red exterior brick extends to the roof, filled with colours reminiscent of Jeju's earth. The interior is also neatly finished to focus on the things surrounding this place. Next to the bedroom, there are glass blocks and a skylight above. The glass blocks are finished in the same pattern as the exterior cladding, quietly blending with the surroundings. The windbreaks in various spots create shade for the skylight, giving a feeling of being outdoors even when inside. 'Place' has an outdoor hearth for enjoying a bonfire and a small outdoor pool with shade, while 'Everywhere' has an outdoor terrace with a fireplace and an outdoor swimming pool in the garden.
There is a tangerine field and a 500-pyeong garden in Jeju Island that was cultivated by the hand of my next-door sister who married 30 years ago.
Try "FIREPIT" on the brazier of "gotgot."
The exterior brick is connected to the roof and filled with a color that resembles the ground. The interior is finished gracefully to focus on the glittering things that have already bloomed in this land.
