전라북도 전주시 완산구 향교길의 어느 샛길에는 60년이 넘도록 조용히 자리 잡고 있는 한옥이 있습니다. 이 곳의 이름은 고유(高遊), '속세에서 벗어나 한가롭게 노닌다'는 본래의 뜻을 담았습니다. 1956년 하늘의 복과 땅의 온기를 비는 상량문을 올리며 지어진 한옥을 기반으로 고유는 옛 가옥의 전통적인 곡선을 살리면서 편리함을 더하였습니다. 고유는 한옥의 질서를 존중하면서도 현대를 느낄 수 있는 공간입니다. 

On a side street along Hyanggyo-gil, Wansan-gu, Jeonju-si, Jeollabuk-do, there is a hanok that has been quietly located for over 60 years. The name of this place contains the original meaning of 'gou (高遊)', 'free from the worldly lifestyle and play leisurely'. Based on a hanok built-in 1956 by raising the Sangryangmun to pray for the blessings of the heavens and the warmth of the earth, Goyu has added convenience while preserving the traditional curves of the old houses. Goyu is a space where you can feel modernity while respecting the order of hanok.

내부에는 실내 욕조, 거실, 주방이 있고 침실, 화장실, 파우더룸, 샤워실은 각각 두 개로 이루어져 있습니다. 실내 욕조는 계절과 관계없이 이용이 가능합니다. 거실의 좌식테이블에서는 차를 마시며 바깥을 관조할 수 있도록 의도하였습니다. 주방에는 식사에 필요한 도구들과 커피를 직접 내려 마실 수 있습니다. 침실에는 원형의 창을 내어 언제든지 시선이 하늘에 머무를 수 있도록 하였습니다. 마당에는 전용 수영장과 수경 공간이 자리합니다. 수경 공간은 고유에서만 볼 수 있는 풍경으로, 물을 담아 하늘을 비추는 거울을 만들었습니다. 맑은 날에는 물 위에 구름이 떠 있고 비가 토독토독 떨어지는 날이면 수면 위로 퍼져나가는 물의 파장이 인상적입니다. 옆에는 고고한 소나무와 너럭바위가 있습니다. 이들은 묵묵히 고유의 마당에 자리 잡아 세월을 함께 보냅니다. 마당이 들려주는 자연의 이야기들은 바쁜 도시 생활로 인해 잃어버린 생기에 숨을 불어 넣습니다.

Inside, there is an indoor bathtub, living room, and kitchen, and there are two bedrooms, a toilet, a powder room, and two showers each. The indoor bathtub is available regardless of the season. The sitting table in the living room is intended to allow you to contemplate the outside while drinking tea. In the kitchen, you can make your own coffee and utensils necessary for meals. The bedroom has a circular window so that your gaze can stay on the sky at any time. The yard features a private pool and hydroponic area. The hydroponic space is a landscape that can only be seen in indigenous people, and a mirror was created to reflect the sky with water. On a clear day, there are clouds floating on the water, and on a day when it rains heavily, the waves of the water spreading over the surface of the water are impressive. Next to it is a lofty pine tree and Noorokbawi Rock. They quietly sit in their own yard and spend time together. The stories of nature told by the yard breathe life into the vitality lost due to busy city life.

- For a 2-night stay, towel change and cleaning are not provided.
- For stays of 3 nights or more, bedding and towels are changed, and cleaning is provided.
- Due to the nature of the hanok, it is impossible to cook inside and use fire items.
- All areas within the property are absolutely non-smoking. Please smoke in the smoking area outside the gate.
- Residential facilities are located nearby, and soundproofing is not perfect due to the nature of hanok, so please refrain from late-night noise.
- There is a deep bathtub in the room. We ask for your continued interest in preventing safety accidents.
