Demolishing old buildings and establishing new ones is a common phenomenon. 'HASEOKJAI' located in Sangsi-dong, Gangneung, Gangwon-do, guarded by Mt. Taebong and facing the ocean preserves the past space and offers convenience of modern space. HASEOKJAI is an old hanok aged 150 years where you can revel in green nature. By preserving the indoor spaces yet utilizing it differently from original usage, HASEOKJAI presents a unique experience of its own.
Sitting on the toenmaru, you will encounter the color of nature embroidered beyond the tile wall. The bell rings clearly accordingly to the sounds of pages turning. Tea set and Korean tea recommended by the host are prepared on the Daechungmaru. Pouring warm tea from a teacup into the water dispenser organizes the disordered mind. We also recommend taking a light stroll scenting the odor of tree and soil at the country road or mountain trail nearby. The silent act replenishing the surroundings will ease the fatigue from daily life.

Indoor jacuzzi
Indoor jacuzzi was created while maintaining the walls that constituted the barn. Feel the tranquility as you face the sky and pine tree along with the serene atmosphere of the past.
Dining room
The warehouse to store luggage and agriculture equipment was renovated into a dining room. The rafter is a decent factor to experience the beauty of hanok and chat.
Daechungmaru
There is a daechungmaru that fully preserved the ancient structure. You will feel calm as you relax and drink tea with the mountain beyond the door while sitting on the daechungmaru.
