Our own private gallery

Walking along Jemincheon, which runs through the center of Gongju, Chungnam, you will come across a neat Hanok house. "Hongsi Art House" is a space that began with Professor Lee Chang-seop's poem "Hongsi" from Gongju University, expressing the desire to share art and culture with loved ones. A private gallery like no other was created by collecting contemporary art pieces, furniture, books, and objects that add to the warmth of the Hanok.

Hongsi Art House consists of a dining room, a bedroom, a Jacuzzi space, and a bathroom. When you open the door to the indoor space, there is a small courtyard where the warm sun shines down. Sit on the floor and listen carefully to the pleasant sounds from the street. You can enjoy tea and drip coffee at the big table in the dining room. In the bedroom, there is a headboard and an art wall to appreciate contemporary art pieces by world-renowned artists such as Julian Opie, Christo, and Hernan Bas up close. Reading art-related books prepared by the host while looking more deeply into the artwork is also a great idea. In the Jacuzzi space, take a footbath or a half bath and rest. Enjoy a quiet and clear time with your loved ones, relieving yesterday's worries.
