There is a folding door in the indoor jacuzzi. As you open the window enveloping the yard, the wind gently fills the jacuzzi. Relax in warm water as you feel the cool breeze.

Imyoung_gotaek has a front and backyard. Relax and sit on the toenmaru in the front yard where the wind-bell tinkles, and as the sun sets the crimson sunlight paints the backyard. Enjoy time of your own in the yard.

In the tea room, you can drink tea while admiring the 50 year old Lagerstroemia indica. Feel the inner peace offered by the old tree and tea ceremony.

실내자쿠지에는 폴딩도어가 준비되어 있습니다. 마당을 한가득 담고 있는 창을 열면 바깥 바람이 부드럽게 자쿠지 안에 감돕니다. 시원한 바람을 맞으며 따뜻한 물에 몸을 담가보세요.

임영고택은 앞마당과 뒷마당이 있습니다. 풍경소리가 울려퍼지는 앞마당에서 툇마루에 앉아 사색에 잠겨보고 노을이 질 때면 붉은 햇볕이 뒷마당을 물들입니다. 마당에서 나만의 시간을 즐겨보세요.

임할 임(臨), 바다 영(瀛)의 음을 따온 임영은 강릉의 옛 지명입니다. 1939년부터 이곳에서 여든 해의 시간을 안고 있는 ‘임영고택’이 있습니다. 호스트는 매화가 아름답게 피어 있던 봄날에 처음으로 공간을 만났습니다. 그는 당시 많이 낡았던 툇마루에 짧게 걸터 앉아 보았다고 합니다. 햇볕이 함께 느껴지던 그곳은 포근함이 감돌았고 호스트는 그 감각을 잊지못해 매일 일기를 쓰듯 임영고택에서 추억을 쌓고 있습니다. 이제 새로운 시간을 새기는 행위를 찾아오는 이들과 나누려고 합니다. 

Imyoung is the old name of Gangneung originated from the dictions Engaing Im(臨) and Ocean young(瀛). Since 1939, 'Imyoung_gotaek' stands here embracing the times of eighty years. The host first came across this place in spring when apricot flowers blossomed. He admired it briefly sitting on the edge of toenmaru that was rather old at that time. Sunlight enveloped the space and the host who could not forget that feeling, makes memories in Imyoung_gotaek like writing a diary. Now he wishes to share engraving new times with visitors. 

임영고택은 머물렀던 그들을 되새깁니다. 앞마당의 툇마루에 걸린 팻말은 ‘淨几橫琴曉寒 梅花落在絃間(깨끗한 책상에 거문고 타니 새벽이 차갑고, 매화가 떨어져 줄 사이에 있네.)’라고 쓰여 있습니다. 이 팻말은 결혼 후 이곳을 짓던 딸이 평생을 이곳에서 살고자 하는 마음을 담아 서당의 훈장이신 친정아버님이 지어주신 시라고 합니다. 부부의 안녕을 기원하는 마음이 담긴 따뜻한 시 덕분인지 공간은 온기가 감돕니다. 다음 이가 가져올 이야기는 무엇일까요. 뭇별이 저무는 시간에 임영고택은 찾아올 이를 기다리며 오늘을 맞이합니다. 

Imyoung_gotaek ruminates those who stayed here. The sign on the front yard toenmaru states, 'Dawn grows cold as geomungo is played on clean desk, and apricot flower has fallen between lines'. This sign was a poem written by a senior village school schoolmaster who was a relative of the cousin who initially built this place. Thanks to this heartwarming poem yearning the happiness of the couple, the entire space is full of warmth. What story will the next guest bring. Imyoung_gotaek awaits visitors as the stars fall and waits for tomorrow.

- 예약 신청 후 결제 방식에 따라 결제가 완료되면, 확정 문자가 발송됩니다.
- 예약이 불가한 경우 취소 후 환불 처리해드립니다.
- '예약 신청'이 중복될 경우 입금 순서가 아닌, 신청 순서로 예약 확정이 처리됩니다.
- 계좌이체 결제 시 1시간 이내에 입금이 되지 않을 경우 예약이 자동 취소됩니다.

Refund policy

- After payment is made and completed, the reservation will be confirmed.
- If the reservation is not available to confirm, the refund will be processed after cancellation.
- If conflicting reservations exist for the same room on the same day, the earlier request will be given priority.

- Check-in is 4pm, check-out is 12pm.
- Please observe the check-out time for room set-up purposes. 
- Minors are not allowed to enter as there is risk of accidents due to the structure of the Stay. 
- Accommodation of pets are not allowed. 
- No smoking (including e-cigarettes) in all areas of the property. Violation will result in immediate eviction and additional cleaning fee is charged. 
- Compensation fee will be charged in case of damage of facilities, damage to room furnishings, take, or loss.
- CCTVs are installed outside for the guests’ safety and to prevent crime. 
- Commercial photography and video shooting without prior agreement are not allowed.
