뉴요커 사진가 부부의 쌍둥이 스테이

과테말라에서 태어나 이스라엘을 거쳐, 뉴욕에 정착해 30여 년간 사진작가이자 교육가로 활발히 활동했던 호스트는 몇 년 전 한국을 찾았습니다. 경기도 양평군 서종면 작은 마을에, 영혼의 고향과 같은 뉴욕의 집을 옮겨 놓은 듯한 작은 공간을 지었습니다. 미드센츄리 모던에 기초한 건축 및 실내 디자인은 ‘100A associates’에서 진행하였습니다. 외관은 노출 콘크리트 마감으로 심플하고 중성적인 매력이 특징입니다. 현관의 아치 구조와 모자이크 타일에서는 뉴욕의 정취가 묻어납니다. 

Born in Guatemala, the host attended college in Jerusalem, Israel and later settled in New York, where he actively worked as a photographer and educator for over 30 years. Moving from New York to Korea, he built a space in a tiny village in Seojong-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, that resembles his former Manhattan residence, which feels like the homeland of the soul. The architecture and interior design, based on mid-century modern principles, were carried out by '100A associates'. The exterior features a simple and neutral charm with an exposed concrete finish. The arch structure, facade ornaments and mosaic tiles of the entrance reflect the timeless elegance of New York City.

‘하이메 스테이’는 쌍둥이 아들의 이름을 딴 ‘올린’, ‘루카’ 두 동으로 구성됩니다. 뉴욕 브라운 스톤 건축의 일반적인 구조처럼 높은 층고와 함께 침실, 다이닝, 거실이 일렬로 연결되어 있습니다. 포인트 가구들과 야외 수영장에 사용된 컬러는 중남미의 강렬함이 느껴집니다. 평소에 쉽게 접할 수 없는 북유럽, 북미, 과테말라 그리고 한국의 젊은 디자이너들의 오리지널 가구, 조명, 소품들이 채워져 있습니다. 미술관과 갤러리에 전시했던 사진작가 부부의 사진 작품들과 쌍둥이들의 그림으로 채워진 벽면도 감상해 보세요. 창밖으로는 벽계천의 풍경이 펼쳐집니다. 백로들의 우아한 날갯짓과 갈대의 흔들거림을 바라보는 것만으로도 훌륭한 휴식이 됩니다. 호스트 부부의 취향과 감각으로 어우러진 공간에서 아름다운 문화의 공존과 함께해 보세요.

‘Jaime Stay’ consists of two units named ‘Olin’ and ‘Luca,’ after the host's twin sons. In the tradition of New York brownstone architecture, the units are connected in a row with high ceilings, including the bedroom, dining area, and living room. The accessories and colors used in the outdoor pool evoke the intensity of Latin America. The space is filled with original furniture, lighting, and decor from young designers from Northern Europe, North America, Guatemala, and Korea, which are not commonly found elsewhere. The walls are adorned with photographs from the artist couple’s exhibitions in art museums and galleries, as well as drawings by their young sons. The view outside the window showcases the landscape of the Byeokgyecheon Stream, providing a relaxing retreat beneath the graceful flight of egrets and among gently swaying reeds. Experience the coexistence of beautiful cultures in a space infused with the taste and sensibility of the host couple.

- 調理可能な宿泊施設や、室内で臭う食べ物(肉、海産物など)の調理を禁止します。
- 3泊以上の宿泊には、リクエストがある場合にのみ中間の掃除が提供されます。
- 安全管理の怠慢及び不注意による安全事故の責任はゲストにあります。

- 전문 방역 업체를 통해 주기적으로 소독과 방역을 진행하고 있으나 주변환경의 특성 상 벌레가 유입될 수 있습니다. 이로 인한 환불은 불가합니다.
- 취사 가능한 숙소이나, 실내에서 냄새가 나는 음식(고기, 해산물 등)의 조리를 금지합니다.
