Located in the heart of Takachihomine Kirishima, Japan's first national park, Kai Kirishima is an inn where guests may experience nature's magnificence through its stunning scenery that changes hourly. Each location offers a unique perspective, including stunning views of Sakurajima or Kinkouman from the room or view terrace, Takachihomine from the special room, and a hot spring spa with silver grass fields in front of you. Simply staying in Kai Kirishima, which coexists with nature, will let you relax and forget about the stresses of daily life.
All accommodations at Kai Kirishima include panoramic views of Kirishima. Couches and beds are positioned in front of the window to maximize your appreciation of the surrounding nature. Additionally, it adds comfort to the room by lowering the overall color tone. Satsumawashi (traditional Satsuma paper), art inspired by Oshima Tsumugi (a 1300-year-old staining procedure), and Satsumasuzu (traditional crafts designated by Koshima Prefecture) are ubiquitous. There are also rooms with open-air bathrooms, allowing you to relax in a secluded space while gazing at Sakurajima. Terrace, located on the third floor of the guest room building, is a guest-use place with a nice outlook. Moreover, there is a free parking place directly in front of the spectacular view, so it is a good idea to stop by before dinner.

    A short monorail trip from the ryokan will take guests to a bathhouse that sits in the middle of a vast field of silvergrass. Supplied by waters from deep within the Kirishima Mountains, the facility offers a cavernous indoor bath and an outdoor bath that looks out over the area's stunning scenery.
