일본 혼슈 남서부에 있는 야마구치현은 침강해안이 발달하여 동해, 세토나이카이 연안에 섬들이 많다. 또한 혼슈 최서단에 있는 현으로 대륙 문화의 영향을 많이 받아 선사 유적이 많다. 카이 브랜드의 16번째 시설인 ‘카이 나가토’는 야마구치현 북부의 산에 둘러싸인 강변의 온천지, 나가토 유모토 온천의 중심을 흐르는 오토즈레강에 걸린 아케보노 다리 옆에 위치한다. 야마구치현에서 오래도록 이어져 온 ‘오차야야시키’를 테마로 하여, 이 지역의 풍성한 문화를 체험할 수 있는 리조트이다.


Due to the development of a precipitated shoreline, Yamaguchi Prefecture, located in the southwest of Honshu, Japan, has several islands along the East Sea and Setonaikai beaches. Furthermore, it is a prehistoric site in Honshu's westernmost region that has been affected by continental civilization. "Kai Nagato," Kai's 16th facility, is located near the Akebono Bridge on the Otosure River, which flows through the heart of the Nagato Yumoto Hot Springs, a hot spring along the river surrounded by mountains in northern Yamaguchi Prefecture. It is a resort where you may enjoy Yamaguchi Prefecture's rich culture under the concept of Ochaya Yashiki, which has been around for a long time.


로비와 객실은 무가(武家) 문화를 살린 설비가 되어 있다. 카이 나가토의 객실은 에도시대 번주들이 수도 근무를 위해 수많은 신하를 거느리고 에도로 올라가는 길에 머물렀다는 숙소를 연상시키는 고급스러운 우아한 객실을 연상시킨다. 침대는 바닥을 높여 만들었으며, 침대의 머리 부분에는 야마구치시의 무형문화재인 ‘도쿠지 와시’ 종이로 장식했다. 총 네 가지의 객실 타입이 있으며 일본 문화 특유의 절제된 아름다움이 돋보인다.


A fighting family culture (known as Muga) is present in the lobby and rooms. Kanagato's room is reminiscent of an opulent, exquisite room reminiscent of an inn where Edo University's prosperity stayed on the trip up to Edo Island, complete with several maids for service. The bed had an elevated floor, and the head of the bed was covered in paper Tokuji Wasi, a Yamaguchi City intangible cultural property. There are four different room kinds, each with its own restrained beauty that is peculiar to Japanese culture.
