노르덴 루더 호스텔 타이중 은 타이중 옛 기차역 맞은편에 위치하여 편리한 위치에 있다.  "노르덴 루더（Norden Ruder）"는 독일어로 북쪽의 키를 의미하며 북극성처럼 여행자의 방향을 안내한다. 어린 시절 이웃을 오갔던 기억을 살려 실내를 여러 개의 독립된 공간으로 나눴다. 공간마다 한 채의 주택과 같았고 방문 밖의 공동체는 마당이 됐다. 이들 마당을 연결한 것은 골목길로, 공동체가 방을 둘러싸고 있는 모습을 이루다.

Located across from the old Taichung train station, Norden Ruder Hostel Taichung offers convenient transportation access. "Norden Ruder" means Northern Rudder in German. From its name, it is easy to realize their passion of guiding the travelers as the North Star always do. In addition, Norden Ruder Hostel has also integrated childhood memories of shuttle through the neighborhood into the design. The interior is divided into several separate spaces. Each space is like a residence, and the public area outside the door becomes the yard. The lanes connecting these courtyards and creating a layout where public areas surround the rooms.

노르덴 루더 호스텔 타이중 은 일반적인 호스텔의 이층 침대, 통포에 비해 '독립공간'을 강조한다. 원래의 건물 구조를 파괴하지 않고 다양한 크기의 프라이버시 공간으로 구역을 나눈다. 각 층의 기차역을 향한 창문은 모두 공공 공간으로 남겨둔다. 모든 손님들에게 옛 타이중 기차역의 가장 아름다운 풍경을 보여주는 것을 목표로 한다. 여행객들은 기차역 근처의 맛있는 음식을 먹으면서 타이중 구시가지의 풍경을 내려다볼 수 있다.

Compared to typical youth hostels with bunk beds and dormitories, Norden Ruder Hostel Taichung emphasizes "individual spaces". Dividing the area into various sizes of private spaces without destroying the original structure. All outward-facing windows on each floor are reserved for public areas. It aims to showcase the most beautiful scenery of the old Taichung train station to all guests. Visitors can enjoy the local gourmet while overlooking the picturesque old downtown area of Taichung.

- No smoking in any areas of the property. Special cleaning fee is charged in case of violation.
- Check-in time is from 15:00  to 22:30(Self-check-in after 22:30) 
- A valid government issued photo ID (passport) is required during check-in.
- Rooms are assigned randomly. It is not possible to designate specific rooms.
- Compensation fee will be charged in case of loss or damage to bedding, equipment, facilities etc.
- Commercial photography and video shooting without prior agreement are not allowed.
