The old word '오희' ('ohee') carries the meanings of 'joy and happiness' and 'exclamation sound made when impressed.' To create a space for taking a break and relaxing a bit more, it was given the comfortable pronunciation of '오히.' The host wanted to create a place where they could enjoy pleasant and joyful moments with old friends and admire the most picturesque beauty of the western Oreung forest in Gyeongju.

The host imagined what kind of space their long-unseen friends or family would need. They required a shared space to reminisce about the past and a restful area to relax away from the crowd. As a result, an uncommon two-story hanok called '오히' was built. '오히' consists of two detached hanoks with a similar structure. Each building comprises a courtyard, an outdoor swimming pool, a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom, bedrooms, and rest areas. Enjoy a fun water play at the outdoor pool and set up a barbecue against the backdrop of the sunset in the courtyard. Laughter fills the air, and the atmosphere of a long-awaited trip becomes stronger. '오히' also stands out from other hanoks in terms of interior design. By using mid-century modern furniture and items throughout the stay, they maintained the warm feeling of a hanok while adding a modern touch. The second floor is designed as a space for relaxation.
