presenting a new standard of Japanese experience.ONSEN RYOKAN YUEN SHINJUKU
YUEN, a word meaning "origin," has created a YUEN-like space by presenting traditional elements of a traditional ryokan such as Japanese atmosphere, in a new design and service. The Japanese garden decorated to fully feel the changes of the seasons, the appearance of the traditional ryokan with the form of the roof that muffles the sounds, the simple but aesthetic space design that one encounters upon entering the hotel, and the moments of meeting the managers who realize Omotenashi are all part of the experience. In an instant, one will feel as if they have traveled back in time to an old Japanese ryokan, away from the bustling city just moments before.
Each room at YUEN reflects the concept of ryokan while creating its own unique experience. With floors reminiscent of traditional tatami mats and walls and furniture designed with high-end wood, the rooms embody the image of a ryokan while still feeling like a luxurious hotel. The experience of taking off your shoes and entering the room, combined with the provided yukata and Japanese-style slippers, truly gives the impression of being in a ryokan, but a glance out the window to the view of Shinjuku reinforces the fact that you are in the heart of Tokyo. The amenities box, inspired by the theme of harmony, and additional Japanese-style bedding provided for additional guests are also designed to evoke a sense of Japanese traditionalism.
