The flaws of hanok such as insect repellent, insulation, sound insulation, humidity etc are eliminated for guests to have a pleasant time. It is a modern hanok that is functional and aesthetic in the stance of modern individuals.

얼기설기 얽혀있는 전선 줄과 노란 가로등 아래 세월의 흔적이 묻어 있는 어수선한 골목이지만, 어쩐지 정감이 가고 온기가 있는 '서학 예술마을'. 몇 채 남지 않은 1970년대 한옥들이 모여있는 작은 골목길에서 ‘사로(絲路)’는 작은 활력의 불씨를 일으키고자 합니다.


'Seohak Art Village' is a disordered alley with traces of old times under tangled electric lines and yellow streetlamp, yet somehow feels affectionate and has warmth. In a narrow alley where only a few remaining hanoks of the 1970s are gathered, 'Saro' attempts to create a little spark of vitality.

지난 9년간의 한옥 스테이 운영 경험을 바탕 삼아 1970년대의 한옥을 ‘현세의 한옥’이라는 주제로 새롭게 다듬었습니다. 한옥의 상징적인 요소와 전통의 미를 계승하고, 현대적이고 기능적인 요소들을 가미해 편리함을 추구했습니다. 한복 가운을 걸치고 천천히 차를 우려 마신 뒤 전통 오락의 윷놀이나 공기놀이, 또는 빔프로젝터로 영화 한 편 즐겨보세요. 전통의 아름다움을 간직한 현세의 한옥은 여러분의 마음을 사로잡을 것입니다.


Based on the 9 years experience of operating hanok stay, the host rennovated old hanoks into the theme 'modern hanok'. He sustained symbolic factors and traditional beauty of hanok, as well as pursue convenience through modern and technical components. Put on the hanbok gown, slowly drink tea, and play traditional Korean games such as yutnori and gonggi, or watch a movie with beam projector. Modern hanok embracing traditional beauty will capture your mind.

- Check-in is 15:00pm, and check-out is 12:00pm. Please observe the check-out time for room set-up purposes. 
- A check-in text will be sent in the morning of arrival day. 
- Maximum occupancy of Saro is 4 people, and extra 25,000won is charged per person in case of exceeding standard occupancy. 
- Pets are not allowed. 
- Non-reservers and visitors are not allowed to enter, and the guest takes full responsibility for this matter. 
- There is no facility to cook with fire in the stay. Only cooking simple food with microwave, to-go, or delivery are allowed. 
- Compensation fee may be charged for facility damage or impairment to room furnishing due to  Please be careful. 
- Usage of items that may cause fire such as candle, incense etc are banned. No smoking in all areas of the property including bathroom and yard. Violation will result in immediate eviction without refund. 
- This stay is located in a quiet town. Please refrain from excessive partying, drinking, dancing, and making loud noises that disturb neighborhood seniors and residents. 
- Commercial photography and video shooting without prior agreement are not allowed.  Please contact us in advance.

Saro is a private hanok. It has a bedroom with tea set tools, a dining space with wooden table under the side light, and a bathroom. You can take a walk in the entire yard through a toenmaru that is rennovated as a trail, and a Chosun pin tree located in the center adds the beauty of margin. 

Saroは一棟貸しの韓屋（ハノク）です。茶礼道具が備えられた寝室、笠型の照明の下に木のテーブルが置かれたダイニングスペース、そしてバスルームで構成されています。散策路のように再解釈された縁側を通じて庭全体を見渡すことができ、中央に佇む朝鮮アカマツの一本が「余白の美」をいっそう引き立てます。
