Soful Island, once a small island off the coast of Tongyeong, has now disappeared due to land reclamation, but it remains a floating island on the sea. Here, the sun rises over the water in the morning, making it a prime spot for sunrises. It’s also a stopover for migratory birds heading south to warmer lands. The name "Soful" carries a dual meaning, also hinting at "so full," reflecting the idea of finding inspiration and relaxation, letting go of life's burdens, and preparing to move forward.

The building, inspired by the irregular shapes of the sea, is designed to form a cohesive structure while avoiding shared walls between rooms. This design promotes privacy and enhances the quality of rest. Meanwhile, the interior contrasts with the grand and tranquil sea view, offering a cozy and refined atmosphere.
