'선현재'라는 이름은 깨끗할 선(洗), 밝을 현(炫), 곳 재(在), ‘깨끗하고 밝은 곳’이라는 뜻으로, 헤밍웨이의 단편소설 ‘A Clean, Well-Lighted Place’에서 영감을 받았습니다. 어쩌면 소설 속 허무의 세계에서 밝은 불빛, 깨끗함과 질서를 탐구하는 이유는, 우리가 일상을 떠나 여행하는 이유와 같은 것일지도 모릅니다. 이러한 생각에서 출발하여 스테이가 제공하는 공간과 쉼, 그 시간 속에서의 경험은 어떠한 것이 되어야 할지 고민하고 준비했습니다.

The name 'SUN HYUN JAE', by character meaning Sun(洗), bright Hyun(炫), and place Jae(在), was inspired by Hemmingway's short story ‘A Clean, Well-Lighted Place’. Perhaps the reason we investigate brightness, cleanness, and order is the same reason we leave our daily life behind and go on a journey. From this notion, the host deeply considered what space, relaxation, and experience this stay should offer to the guests.

「SUN HYUN JAE」は、清潔さを意味する「洗（SUN）」、明るさを意味する「炫（HYUN）」、場所を意味する（JAE）」の３文字に由来しています。「清潔で、明るい場所」という意味で、ヘミングウェイの短編小説「A Clean, Well-Lighted Place」からインスピレーションを得ています。小説の中の虚無の世界で明るい光、そして清潔さと秩序を探求する理由は、私たちが日常を離れて旅をする理由と同じなのかもしれません。こちらでは、お部屋での憩いのひと時の中にある何かにフォーカスを合わせる事が出来ます。

해안도로를 따라 걸으며 소박한 마을의 모습과 계절마다 다른 꽃들이 피어나는 들판의 모습을 마주할 수 있습니다. 특히 가을에는 흐드러진 억새와 반짝이는 바다, 그리고 해가 지는 순간의 따뜻한 빛이 아름답게 조화를 이루는 풍광이 펼쳐집니다. 온전히 ‘나’에게 집중하는 이곳에서의 시간은 각자의 역할로 가득한 일상을 다시금 버틸 수 있는 힘이 되어줄 것입니다.

As you walk along the coastal road leading to the observatory, you will see a rustic village and a field where flowers bloom. Especially in autumn, the scenery is beautifully harmonized with the shimmering pampas grass, the sparkling sea, and the warm light of sunset. In this place where you can fully focus on 'yourself', time will give you the strength to endure daily life. 


海岸沿いの道を歩くと、質素な集落や、季節ごとに表情を変えるお花畑が皆様を迎えます。特に秋には、色とりどりのススキと輝く海、そして日没の光が美しく溶け合う、ひと時の絶景をご覧になる事が出来ます。自分自身に焦点を合わせるひと時は、忙しない社会で忘れていたものを取り戻させてくれるはずです。

- 침구나 비품에 심각한 오염이 발생한 경우, 파손 및 분실 등에 변상비가 청구됩니다.
- 주기적으로 소독과 방역을 진행하고 있으나 주변 환경의 특성상 벌레가 유입될 수 있습니다. 이로 인한 환불은 불가합니다.
- 이웃집이 가깝게 위치하고 있어 늦은 시간 외부로 소음이 발생하지 않도록 배려해 주시기 바랍니다.
- 협의되지 않은 상업 사진 및 영상 촬영(광고용, 제품사진, 쇼핑몰, SNS마켓 포함), 드론 촬영은 불가합니다.

- 3박 이상 숙박 시 4일째에 중간 청소를 요청할 수 있습니다.

중간 청소

- 욕조 사용을 위해 온수의 온도가 높게 설정되어 있습니다. 욕실의 수전을 사용하실 때에는 항상 온수의 온도에 주의하시기 바랍니다.
- 욕실의 샤워부스에 기대거나 큰 힘을 가하지 말아주시고, 샤워 부스의 문은 천천히 닫아주세요.
- 준비된 1회분의 입욕제를 제외한 별도의 입욕제를 사용할 수 없습니다.

- 화구 안에 준비된 장작은 1박 당 제공되는 분량입니다. 장작은 추가로 제공되지 않습니다.

- No smoking in all areas of the property. Please use the designated outdoor area, and special cleaning fee is charged in case of violation. 
- Usage of flammable items is strictly prohibited in all areas of the property.
- Cooking is allowed, but cooking food with strong steam and smell(fish, meat etc) is prohibited. 
- Compensation fee may be charged in case of loss and damage to bedding and equipments.
- Disinfection service is carried out monthly on the inside and outside the house. However, bugs and insects may still come in due the natural surrounding of the area. Refund is not possible for these reasons. 
- Please refrain from making loud noises at late hours. 
- Commercial photography and video shooting without prior agreement are not allowed.

- Cleaning service is provided on the 4th night when staying for over 3 consecutive nights.

- The hot water temperature is set high for use in the bathtub. When using the bathroom faucet, always pay attention to the temperature of the hot water.
- Do not lean on the shower booth in the bathroom or apply excessive force, and close the door of the shower booth slowly.
- You cannot use bath products other than the one provided by the host.

- The amount of firewood provided in the fire pit is for one night. Extra firewood is not provided. 
- It may not be available depending on weather conditions.

- 浴槽の移送を想定し、お湯の温度が高く設定されています。浴室の蛇口を使用する際は、常にお湯の温度にご注意ください。 
- 浴室のシャワーブースに寄りかかったり、大きな力を加えるなどの行為はご遠慮ください。また、シャワーブースのドア開閉の際は、必ずゆっくりとお閉めください。 
- ご用意させていただく1回分の入浴剤を除き、追加での入浴剤のご使用は厳禁でございます。
