It serves as a small beacon for sailors in Bokdeokgae Port, Hallim Gwideok-ri, a small fishing village on the island of Jeju. The space was named "Tortuga," which means turtle in Spanish, in the hopes that it would be enjoyed slowly and quietly, like the movement of a turtle. Tortuga is a small two-story Western-style house located next to the blue Gwideok Sea. Old walls and windows were dismantled and the structure was redeveloped into what you see today.
Tortuga's spaces are intuitive and easy to use. Making coffee and reading books are some of the things I love to do while sitting, facing the sea. Seeing the morning dew in the morning sea, I look out over the endless horizon. Tortuga Coffee nearby is also a place I like to take a walk to along the seashore. Start your day in Tortuga, a space that slowly ages but remains timeless.
Views of the ocean from every room. Have a moment of contemplation while gazing at the glittering pearls of the sea.
The walls and windows of the old house were dismantled and the structure was reorganized. Feel the full sense of the intuitive and simple space.
There is 'Totuga Coffee' nearby. Spend a relaxing time with coffee in a space overlooking the sea.
