Located on the mountain ridge of Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province, "Villa Nute" is situated just 10 minutes away from Cheongpyeong Station. "Nute" refers to the Egyptian mythological "Goddess of the Sky" and "Umbrella." "Villa Nute" is a space designed to provide a safe and tranquil time for both family and pets under its low yet expansive roof, much like an umbrella that shields from rain.
The building, inspired by an "umbrella," presents a visual reminiscent of an opened red umbrella. The interior features a circular design where all facets seamlessly flow together, allowing individuals within to maintain their unique spaces while breathing in unison. This arrangement fosters emotional bonds and a sense of security among companions. Furniture is arranged to accommodate the eye level of pets, with smaller items strategically placed, and there are no doors or steps within each space, considering the movement patterns of pets. Additionally, panoramic windows on the walls maximize the sense of space and openness while bringing in the surrounding natural scenery.
A unique detached space with a circular structure with an umbrella motif. It was designed as an open space where people and animals can play freely by building only a minimum wall in a large indoor space of 50 pyeong, maximizing space and openness by surrounding the entire building with panoramic windows.
Different views of day and night facing in the middle of the open sky. It becomes abundant just by capturing the stars and moons embroidered with the ever-changing lights and shadows during the day and the twinkling sky at night. At sunset, sit on a long log bench in the yard with warm tea and enjoy the sunset.
They embrace everyone without restrictions on their dog's dog breed or weight. In order to add to the cozyness of the umbrella and make eye contact with the dog, the ceiling was intentionally lowered, and the space was filled with low-floor furniture tailored to the children's eye level.
