In Wollyeong-ri, west of Jeju, there is a cactus village where cactus that crossed the waves from Mexico and settled among the rough stones and created a colony. It's the only cactus colony in Korea (Natural Monument No.429) that has become wild from the tropics.
The Wollyeong Cactus is seeped into this place with the exotic scenery in Jeju. This place is designed to be a landmark located in the center of the town and a rough but with the natural finish in a sequence space, rather than a formative object. Wollyeong Suninjang is located on the western edge of Jeju Island. It is located in Wollyeong 1-gil, Hallim-eup, Jeju-si.
It is about 40 km from Jeju International Airport and takes about 40 minutes by car. If you are driving from the airport, search on the navigation as ‘Wollyeong-ri 411-1’ or ‘Wollyeong 1-gil 10’ and drive through to meet the Wollyeong Suninjang.
