Does the arrangement of the driveway take into account the distinctive characteristics of the location?
CEO Kyung-rok Noh: When I envision a project in Jeju Village, I take into consideration the arrangement of gates that seamlessly blend with the village's aesthetic. For instance, in many cases, it was customary for people to have low doors integrated within the stone walls. However, Omyo, being situated inside the road, required a longer entrance pathway, creating a distinct and independent space within the village. Consequently, a separate gatehouse was designed, featuring a robust door that effectively demarcated the area from its surroundings. Moreover, we aimed to cultivate an inward-focused ambiance by incorporating tall trees and additional fences in the landscaping, thereby crafting a space that prioritizes internal perspectives.

In the lounge, we have incorporated sensory experiences such as listening to music emanating from speakers while indulging in a soothing bath within the lounge's bathtub. Additionally, guests can luxuriate on comfortable sofas while gazing at the encompassing garden, immersing themselves in a sensory oasis that embraces the beauty of nature.
Was there any specific consideration given to the choice of materials?
CEO Kyung-rok Noh: To create a harmonious yet contrasting ambiance, we carefully considered the selection of materials. Warm wooden furniture and wood finishes were chosen to counterbalance the inherent roughness of the stone walls, alleviating any discomfort or unfamiliarity associated with their texture. By juxtaposing these elements, we aimed to bring forth the unique beauty of each material. Although I do not directly serve alcohol in the lounge, I wanted to offer an opportunity for guests to savor their drinks with a heightened sense of tactility and taste, emphasizing a more concentrated and refined experience.
