Farm Guesthouse Where Body and Mind Resets
Only 3 minutes away from Hyeopjae Beach, Agriturismo Pul-beut is an organic Dekopon farm house stay run for multiple generations. Upon arrival, I noticed large, 100-year-old stone walls, and that there is no door at the entrance as I stepped into the house. They used a hand-written letter as a motif, incorporated into the patterns and structure of the house, showing a message sent to children and grandchildren. Jeju’s stone walls surrounding the house and a gatepost represent a farmer’s toil, with gravel appearing like floating petals, blooming and falling.
Three guestrooms feature two different types: double room, enough for one or two travelers where they can enjoy the view of Jeju and stone walls from their bed in the morning; a family room, perfect for a family or a group of friends, encouraging guests to get together in the living room with its aisle-type living room and kitchen with bedroom and bathroom located on one side.
Music, curated to reflect the mood and weather of the day, softly fills each space, creating lasting memories of your stay. If your schedule aligns, you may even catch a concert or an art exhibition. In May, the orchard is a breathtaking sight as spirea and hallabong blossoms bloom. Surrounded by an organic hallabong orchard, this stay is part of a cultural space that fosters a meaningful connection with the local community and environment. Why not take a break from the hectic pace of the city, relax, and enjoy some time exploring the peaceful surroundings.
