Empty Spaces That Let You Reconnect with Yourself
In the forest, there is a cabin where there is no internet and there is no data on the cell phone. The sound of birds resonating and scattering is interspersed with the sound of leaves hitting my ears. Located in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi-do, Atin Maru is a great place to experience tranquility in the midst of time and space that feels endless. Among the reasons this location is attractive are its fantastic views of the surrounding nature and the time of contemplation you can take advantage of. Do you remember the last time you focused exclusively on your mind and thoughts during a hectic day? What will the day be like without the blaring alarm of the cell phone and staring blankly at the YouTube channel? Atin Maru provides an answer to this question. The word ATIN is a combination of the words "AT," which means "place or time," and "IN," which refers to "inside." MARU (Maru), which follows the phrase ATIN, is the Korean word that means "sky, best, high, and mountain." The first point where "ATIN" originated is found on the ridge that reaches the top of Gamabong Peak in Myeongdal-ri, Seojong-myeon, hence "ATIN MARU" was added to represent its geographical characteristics.."

In addition to four individual cabins, the Atin Maru features a magnificent lounge. The lounge is a representative building of the Atin Maru, offering a view of the outside world through its windows and numerous pillars. It was purposely designed with a high floor height to correspond with the pine tree's location. During the day, you can drink coffee while listening to music, and screen a movie in the evening to add beer and wine. The cabins are named Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter, meaning there are four seasons at each cabin. Two single beds are present along with a bathroom and a shower room in the former cabin, which is minimalist and sensuous. Guests were provided with natural handmade soaps in their accommodations, so they could spend a day in nature, and feel close to nature. A beautiful view of the pine forest can be enjoyed from the Spring Cabin, which is approximately 56 meters from the main building. The Summer Cabin is located 72m from the main building, adjacent to the stream. From the window, you can see cherry trees. The Autumn Cabin is located 106 meters from the main building in a pine forest. Last but not least, the Winter Cabin is 142 meters from the main building and you can view the lounge through the window. Upon entering the cabin, the road turns into a winding road, giving the impression of walking in the forest.

A day is not sufficient to experience the charm of Atin Maru. It is recommended that you enjoy all four seasons while you are there. This allows you to fully enjoy your day and night. The day can be spent reading books written by your favorite authors, taking a leisurely stroll, and napping. While looking at the red-hued sunset in the evening, you can enjoy a moment of quiet reflection. It will take you back to your childhood memories of sitting idle on an outdoor swing and feeling comfy as if you have returned to your long-established hometown after years of absence. Let your body and mind relax by taking time to do what you have been putting off in your busy daily lives. After a restful night's sleep, you will be served with a neat and healthy breakfast consisting of bread, potato soup, tomato marinade and coffee the following morning. Come spend time with your inner-self through voluntary seclusion in the nature of the Atin Maru.
