    FAUCHON Meets Kyoto. Feel Paris.
Founded in 1886 on Place de la Madeleine in Paris, Fauchon has continued to shine as a brand that supports the lifestyles of people around the world for over 130 years. Offering luxurious pastries, macarons, chocolates, jams, teas, and other delicacies made with carefully selected seasonal ingredients from all over the world, Fauchon has established itself as a renowned name. "Fauchon Hotel Kyoto" is the second hotel in the world following Fauchon Hotel Paris, the luxury hotel that Fauchon first introduced in Paris. Kyoto, the city chosen by Fauchon, a symbol of Parisian aesthetics, may seem completely different in style, but these two cities share many similarities. Both are cities of art with a history of over a thousand years, where historical buildings and cityscapes are cherished by the local people. In Kyoto, there flows the Kamogawa River, while in Paris, it's the Seine River, both known as "Rivers of Romance." The culture of enjoying tea is also shared between the two cities. Moreover, both cities have nurtured diverse culinary cultures, making them renowned culinary destinations. The concept of "Fauchon Hotel Kyoto" is "FAUCHON Meets Kyoto. Feel Paris." It combines the image of "glamorous Paris," the birthplace of Fauchon, and "elegant Kyoto," which has been twinning with Paris for over 60 years, representing the cultural, traditional, and artistic aspects of both cities. The result is the creation of a luxurious space. Upon entering the hotel, guests are greeted by an elegant curved staircase leading to the second floor, adorned with stained glass inspired by blooming cherry blossoms. At the reception on the top floor, beautifully decorated macarons take center stage in the lobby lounge, complemented by gracefully arranged sofas near the windows. The hospitality begins with a welcome service featuring Fauchon's signature items, macarons and tea.

Fauchon Hotel Kyoto embraces the design concept of "FAUCHON Meets Kyoto. Feel Paris." throughout its entrance, guest rooms, restaurants, spa, and every corner of the hotel, creating a sophisticated and elegant atmosphere that allows guests to experience the fusion of Parisian and Kyoto cultures. The design incorporates a serene color palette and a tasteful Japanese aesthetic with elements of traditional Kyoto, such as subdued tones and traditional motifs. The guest rooms, featuring a modern luxury design, are characterized by Fauchon's brand colors: Fauchon Pink, White, Black, and Gold. They also incorporate materials and craftsmanship from Kyoto, such as Nishijin-ori (Kyoto's traditional textile technique) bed boards, sofas, and bamboo doors, showcasing the essence of Japanese materials, traditional crafts, and styles. Fauchon Hotel Kyoto offers a total of 59 rooms, including Classic Rooms located on high floors with panoramic views of Higashiyama, as well as Superior Rooms, Deluxe Rooms, and the luxurious Prestige Suites, all providing spacious and relaxing accommodations of 35 square meters or more. One of its notable features is the "Gourmet Bar," which is also available in all guest rooms. Behind the doors of the champagne-pink closet, guests can freely indulge in Fauchon's sweets, pastries, teas, and more. Additionally, the Gourmet Bar offers exclusive flavored teas, imported macarons from France, and a Kyoto version of afternoon tea that can be enjoyed at any time. Guests also have the option to take these delights home using the hotel's original shopper.

Fauchon Hotel Kyoto, created by Fauchon, which has always been at the forefront of global cuisine, embraces the theme of "Discovering the Charms of Paris and Kyoto through Food." Located on the top floor of the hotel, the "Restaurant Grand Café Fauchon" welcomes guests with its sophisticated design, breathtaking views overlooking the streets of Kyoto and the flowing Kamogawa River. Here, guests can experience French cuisine using fresh local ingredients from Kyoto, engaging all their senses. On the second floor, reached by ascending the grand staircase from the entrance, the "Fauchon Salon De Thé Kyoto" awaits. In this serene space blending the essence of Kyoto and Paris, guests can enjoy Fauchon's teas and sweets while overlooking a small Japanese garden. On the first floor, there is the "Pâtisserie & Boutique Fauchon," where visitors can purchase Fauchon's renowned teas, sweets, pastries, and more. The boutique offers special products imported directly from Paris and exclusive items available only at Fauchon Hotel Kyoto. Lastly, on the third floor, there is the world's first Fauchon brand debut of "Le Spa Fauchon." Collaborating with the premium cosmetics brand "KOS PARIS" making its first appearance in Japan, and "Credo International," known for operating spas in luxury hotels both domestically and internationally, Fauchon has developed unique products and original treatment menus. They also offer natural Fauchon original oils tailored to individual skin types and preferences. The main treatment room showcases a sophisticated design space, incorporating tatami mats dyed in Fauchon Pink, creating a fusion of Parisian and Kyoto cultures. I highly recommend experiencing this new form of spa where the two cultures intertwine.
