More than just a hotel, a new lifestyle space
A five-minute walk from Mukho Station in Gangwon-do, a building resembling a giant caramel candy catches the eye. Renovated from an old inn building, Hotel Karamel offers local content spaces and services for travelers who value work/rest balance. In Mukho, which has retained its lively appearance from the 1980s, you can experience the sweet connection between past and present, city and local, and people and region.

Inside and out, the structure of the old building has been preserved as much as possible, and new elements have been added to create a natural coexistence between the past and present. Hotel Karamel, which has one basement and four floors, offers a variety of spatial experiences, including a cafe and editorial shop, as well as accommodation. The "Caramel Station" on the first floor, which is the first place you encounter when entering the building, becomes a cafe where you can enjoy coffee and simple baked goods during the day, and a bar where you can drink wine at night. You can spend time interacting with various people in a spacious and comfortable space. The second and third floors of the hotel have a total of 10 rooms. There are standard rooms, twin rooms, dormitory rooms, suites, and two-bedroom rooms, so you can visit not only as a solo traveler but also with friends, lovers, and family. The rooms are decorated in white and wood tones with accent colors, putting the comfort of the guests first. From the rooftop on the 4th floor, you can see the lively Mukho Port and the trains heading to Mukho Station. Feel the cool breeze and become part of the local scene. It's also a great place to have a drink and chat.

Hotel Karamel focuses on the 'working lifestyle' of people who value their own values away from the eyes of others. Reflecting the needs of travelers who value a good work-life balance, we designed a space that allows for total relaxation and uninterrupted focus, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The basement editorial shop features a permanent exhibition and a variety of classes, including yoga and steering. For some reason, we often turn to the sea when we need to vent or renew our resolve. When the deep blue waters of the East Sea come to mind, why not head to Mukho, where you'll find a space that will give you a sweet break, alone or together.
