Relaxation in the Hanok, a Sunny and Ventilated Area
There is a place where one can relax in Hanok Village in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul. The comfortable and well-organized hanok stay "Iriru" was completed by human cultural assets framing carpenters. It is a space assimilated with nature where you can stay healthy and comfortable using eco-friendly materials. It houses all of the hipped-and-gabled roofs, gabled roofs, and Woojingak roofs, which are representative roofs of hanok. The host designed the space and intentionally excluded excessive decorations so that the beauty of proportion was maintained and the beauty of moderation stood out.
Iriru consists of a quiet yard, two rooms, Unyuru, and Hasimchae. Maintaining traditional elements adds a modern minimal composition for comfort. There is a strong wood scent in the interior. There are three rooms in Unyuru - a bedroom, a living room, and a bathroom. Unyuru, which has a beautiful loft, is made of red clay and harmless materials. Hashimchae comprises Daecheongmaru, a bedroom, a kitchen, and a bathroom. To preserve the hanok's unique tranquility, the kitchen was decorated in dark black. It is hung by Seo-won Choi, a folk artist who represents Iriru in his paintings. In addition, both rooms are equipped with saunas and baths made of cypress, so you can relax. In addition, both rooms can be rented, making it convenient for the whole family. The host prepared Yut Nori (a Korean traditional board game) and cared for it carefully so that those gathered could enjoy it.
Iriru has many attractive features. The beautiful natural scenery of Bukhansan Mountain and the sky can be seen. As the scenery outside the window changes with the season and weather, the five senses are stimulated. Try the healthy brunch served at Nonilmaru after the sunshine and wind wake you up. By using seasonal materials, it appears to enhance immunity in the body and mind. Dessert is served following the meal. Would you like to drink black tea or coffee from one of the vintage teacups collected by your host? Following breakfast, it is recommended that you walk along the road that leads to the valley of Bukhansan Mountain through the huddled hanoks. Further, two programs are being conducted by the host so that the space can be enjoyed in depth. You can learn how to make tea deliciously, participate in tea ceremonies and meditation programs that teach tea etiquette, and can rent hanboks. What about clearing your negative emotions through meditation and deep breathing? Hanok Iriru is a natural environment that can be enjoyed without having to travel far, which will help you lower your mind and have a humble attitude.
