Karuna', a space with the landscape of Yangyang, has opened in the town that is closest to Ingu Beach of the East Sea, where one can experience the life of local surfers. The name ‘Karuna' comes from a Sanskrit word meaning mercy, and also embodies the host couple’s hope for the guests to reward themselves with rest and relaxation during their stay here. The host couple was so impressed after seeing the picturesque moonrise at Ingu Beach and decided to live here. Then, the hosts met the architects at Naau Lab to finally realize their dreams. Thanks to such a meeting, a place embracing the sea, mountains, and wind of Yangyang in all directions could be born.

On the ground floor, there is a lounge that offers a delicious cold brew coffee, and a green grass yard with large bean bags. There also is a kitchen shared by the guests facing the yard, so that one can cook and eat simple meals. On the 1st and 2nd floor, there are two rooms with ocean views on each floor, and on the 3rd floor, there is another room in which one can watch the sceneries of the mountain. The rooms are equipped with the lights of a premium brand and a designer faucet and bathtub with the host's wish for the guests only enjoy the satisfying aspects. Moreover, one can also appreciate the crafts and fabrics of artists in Karuna. The barely exposed concrete wall surface makes the scenery outside the window and the works of art inside the house stand out, creating a sensual atmosphere.
