The Special Hanok of Architects and Brand Designers
There were some who dreamed of a hanok, but of a comfortable and special space like a house. Hanok Stay Kkachi, a hanok village in Jeonju, is a space where hosts have been involved in the design and construction process. To ensure that all perspectives were reflected, he visited up-and-coming architects and brand designers. A guidebook containing Kkachi's logo has been placed so that those staying can experience the space in depth.
In addition to a living room, kitchen, bedroom, and toilet, it is connected to the outside by a wooden porch. There is a yard, a sofa, and a footbath outside. Regarding the living room, the left side consisted of a kitchen and a bathroom, while the right side featured a rest area. To preserve the beauty of the hanok, the framework of a 70-year-old house was also preserved. To preserve the view contained in Namgosan Mountain, the size of the wooden porch and old windows were borrowed and windows were placed everywhere. Bathrooms, shower rooms, sinks, and toilets have been separated in order to enhance convenience. The yard also features a sofa that provides a comfortable and unusual space. To alleviate travel fatigue, a concrete and wood foot bath has been prepared. In order to provide you with the opportunity to spend time in the yard with your child, the host offers free use of a child pool.
According to a Korean traditional belief, kkachi (oriental magpie) is known as a being that welcomes guests or brings good news, blessings, and good fortune. Sometimes guests are actually greeted by kkachi. We hope you would discover your own fortune in this time of complete rest. Hanok Stay Kkachi joyfully waits for you.
