In the tranquil beauty of Jeju's Han Gye-myeon, exists a place called "Klein Blue Stay", where serenity and artistic inspiration coexist. This space was born out of the admiration of the color blue by the artist Yves Klein, for whom blue was the purest and most absolute hue. He even created his own unique shade known as "International Klein Blue." "Klein Blue Stay" embodies a rich source of inspiration and a minimalistic sensibility, much like Klein's iconic monochromatic blue artworks, offering an immersive experience of the art world in itself.
Located in a neighborhood that exudes the essence of Jeju, "Klein Blue Stay" is the second space of the multi-cultural venue, Klein Blue, aiming to harmonize nature and art. Large windows facing the western sky have been installed in a space surrounded by tangerine orchards and stone walls. Against a backdrop of white, the blue color takes center stage, while simple lines harmonize the interior and exterior landscapes. Each of the four rooms features the same structure, with a bedroom, a small kitchen for simple dining, and an indoor bathtub. The meticulous attention to detail is evident not only in the space but also in the services, such as the welcome tea and Klein Blue drip bags and Fragonard hotel amenities provided.
The color symbolizing the absolute and infinite creates purity within the space, and within it, it is impossible not to pause for a moment and take in the artwork. Beneath the beautiful western sky as the sun gently sets, take a moment to simply gaze at the world slowly transitioning. When the sun sets and darkness falls, the stars in the night sky will softly illuminate your day.
