The Hanok Village in Jeonju is famous for not only the beautiful scenery but for the local taste it offers. A well-known stay "Ladam" is also located in this neighborhood surrounded by walls. Ladam signifies a wall separating the inner space from the surrounding site. At Ladam, you can continue your own conversation at a peaceful setting in contrast to surrounding tourist attractions while enjoying the traditional hanoks experience with all the modern comforts.
Upon opening the heavy wooden gate, you will be greeted by a wooden porch and a yard in the style of a hanok. Chairs and small tables have been placed in the yard so that you can relax close to nature and not be affected by the weather. You will find a living room, a dining area, a kitchen, a bedroom, and a bathroom, as well as comfortable hotel bedding for a good night's sleep. Likewise, in Ladam there are two elements that connect the space loosely: a circular window between the bedroom and living room, and a window of the indoor space. By connecting both elements to the outside, the space and view are expanded, and teacups are placed on the floor, allowing you to relax while watching the yard.
Take-out foods can be purchased from Jeonju Hanok Village and carefully selected tableware can be prepared. By doing so, the remainder of the meal will appear more appetizing. It is recommended that you watch a film using a beam projector in the evening or that you take a light walk. After taking a deep breath and looking back on the street slowly, you will notice a very different scene from the one you saw during the day. What could be more pleasant than waking up each morning to a new sense that you have never experienced before?
