"Monka" is the Taiwanese pronunciation of Wanhua, the location of the Monka Hotel, which is just an alley away from the famous Longshan Temple, a century-old historic site of in Taipei. The second-generation owner, who has been operating the hotel with his family for a long time, collaborated with his favorite designer to transform one of the old houses into a new building that carries the local historical memory. The modest exterior of Beton Brut and minimalist design form a stark contrast with the colorful Longshan Temple. Every window functions as a frame, the magnificent eaves of the solemn temple have become the best art installation and the most touching scenery for Monka Hotel.

"Globalizing the local" is the expectation of designer Tony Su for Monka Hotel. He hopes that through design, it can bring young people's energy into the old town and make travelers get closer to Wanhua, a place full of old stories. A pure white wooden spiral staircase from the first floor to the fifth floor inside Monka Hotel is a major highlight. This inspiration comes from the image of smoky incense in temples. Due to limited space, each room here is fully planned with all the necessary equipment for travelers.

Located in the heart of the Wanhua District, Monka Hotel is in a prime location. Just a five-minute walk from the MRT Longshan Temple Station. Renowned Guangzhou Street Night Market, Huaxi Street Night Market, Bopiliao Historic Block and Xinfu Market are all nearby. There are so many delicious Taiwanese street food in the bustling night markets that you won't know where to start. Don't forget to take a walk to Longshan Temple to feel the calm and peace of divine protection.
