Travelers are drawn to Morocco by its vibrant colors as well as its well-preserved traditional houses and lifestyles, which embody the Moroccan culture. In Aewol-eup, Jeju, there stands "Riad" embracing the attractive Moroccan construction style. Riad is built as a traditional Moroccan house style and the most prominent characteristic is the central garden or swimming pool. The two buildings are structured into a C-shape, and a large window overlooks the sea.
There are three buildings in the Riad, building A, building B, and outer space. Each building has a living room, a bedroom, and a bathroom. It is the hospitality of the host that begins your journey to Morocco the moment you enter the gate. Immediately noticeable is the green-tiled swimming pool located in the center of the space, shining in the sunlight. An expansive window fills the living room of A-dong with a view of Gwakji Beach. Above Building A is a rooftop space where you can enjoy a barbecue while enjoying the cool sea breeze. Building B is equipped with a kitchen and a large dining table that can accommodate up to eight people.
A greenhouse is hidden somewhere within the space. You may encounter a fresh green light while exploring a unique location if you are lucky. During your stay, when the sunset has already reached the Riad, Morocco begins to come alive. Rooftop spaces are recommended if you wish to observe the scenery which slowly turns red at the end of the horizon. Take a swim when the yellow light illuminates the darkness. The sound of waves during the silence of the night is the sole fact that remind us we are the only ones present.
