“Wonlim” is originally a Sino-Korean word for a forest by a site designated for building houses and after this beautiful Korean word, a pool villa in Sannae-myeon in Gyeongju is named Sannaewonlim.” As the name tells, Sannaewonlim is a quiet place with an surrealistically splendid scenery of mountains and valleys spreading in front. The host warmly welcomes guests with two building standing next to each other one is the main building, anchae and the other is the annex building, bakkatchae. While the former is filled with warmth and retro design idea, the latter attracts guests with white and blue color palettes and modernist design idea. Yet both buildings - each with a mezzanine - are designed to make sure they are not overstated so that guests may rest and relax comfortably. On the first floor of each building, there is a nicely furbished kitchen, and in a living room, a picture window opens to fantastic scenes created by nature. In the upstairs, on the other hand, a comfortable bed is prepared for a good rest. Moreover, a turntable is placed on the bedside to let anyone enjoy matching music.
