Check in for the art journey
The Qianzhen District of Kaohsiung, Taiwan, is home to the Port of Kaohsiung, a bustling and prosperous neighborhood that is now being transformed into a technology industry park and has attracted many internationally renowned hotels. Silks Club is a collaboration between YUIMOM Group and Silks Hotel Group. The owner himself is a passionate art enthusiast who pays particular attention to building materials and design details. Despite its rather understated exterior with no notable logo or night lighting, once inside you will immediately feel the strong sense of style and taste. In just a few short years, Silks Club has won countless awards and strives for excellence in architecture, art, and dining.

Breaking away from the established image of the industrial city of Kaohsiung, the art-focused Silks Club is decorated with art pieces throughout its lobby, public spaces, and rooms. These works of art use diverse materials, including metal, wood, bamboo, glass and minerals. In the lobby, there are “Dancing Particles” designed and produced by the German art team “Art+Com”, which incorporates the element of water from Kaohsiung Port into its design. Several metal balls dancing in the air along with the music and then reflecting wave-like light through the mirrors, making the entire atmosphere of the lobby even more elegant.

Instead of dazzling gold, silver, and complicated designs, Silks Club's rooms show a pure wooden palette and the "details of life" are the key to success. The design is integrated into small things that can only be felt when you actually stay in the hotel, presenting an atmosphere of "understated luxury". The food and beverages are also carefully considered, as Silks Club has invited the Michelin-starred UKAI restaurant group to join them, hoping to offer guests not only the warmth of Kaohsiung, but also spend a pleasant time in comfort and relaxation.
