Nothingness is the Space in which We Spend Our Time
"Muwi (meaning 'not doing anything')". There is also a meaning of "sheer naturalism," which means that there is no artificiality in it. We turn our mind running outside inside and quietly stares inside at breath and movement. Having a complete understanding of myself, I realize my existence as it is. As a way of sharing the essence of yoga, which has reached a state of indifference through emptying and removing, the four yoga masters of Yoga Coola gathered their will to create a "free space" where they could practice yoga, meditation, and healing. It was natural for the old log cabin they found and the surrounding area to become part of a quiet, peaceful Jeju village. To create a space that would have existed naturally, without artificiality, while bringing back the atmosphere of the house and adding the locality of Jeju.
'Space Muwi' is surrounded by black and long walls. It's the color that best expresses 'nothing' and allows you not to reveal your existence. Each room has a minimal wall and tries to preserve the original smell and texture of the log. The rooms are 'Mu', 'Wi', 'Ja', 'Yeon'. I opened a private meditation garden where you can focus on yourself, and I also prepared an open space where you can do yoga on the terrace. The room "Ja" has both outdoor and indoor baths along with stone walls from Jeju. Through the camellia and rosemary road, you'll find 'Yeon', an independent room. There's a room here where yoga and meditation are held. With Jeju's light, it's the best room, and you can see Hallasan Mountain through the window. An attic and outdoor space with a high ceiling in the form of a gable can enhance a sense of space.
After the sun goes down, the building disappears, and only "I" and "Jeju's Nature" remain. Opening the yoga manual in the room will help you quiet the endless waves of your mind. Take a deep breath, then exhale slowly and deeply. Focusing on inner movements is a simple and silent act. As you eat breakfast, slowly awaken your body with tea prepared in the Muwi space. Now's the time to stop going against nature and spend it how you want.
