Maintain the Neat Appearance of the Hanok While Adding Comfort
At the end of Chuncheon, Gangwon-do, close to Seoul, at the end of Yukrim Bridge, there is a hanok accommodation where you can enjoy nighttime relaxation with the traditional Korean overcoat (durumagi) by opening a wooden gate. Stay Hanryang offers you a modern interpretation of the traditional hanok so that you may stay comfortably while maintaining the beauty and cleanliness of the hanok. The modern meaning of "Hanryang does not refer to Hanryang in the past, but rather it refers to knowing how to find, enjoy, and care for oneself.

A C-shaped building surrounds a yard and is divided into the main building and the annex building. An organized bedroom, a washbasin, a bathroom, and a sensuous dining room are located within the main building. The window in the bedroom includes a toenmaru(Korean wooden porch) planted with maple trees, and you can sit on the couch, drink tea, and enjoy the view outside. It is evident in the calm music, the matching scents, and the subtle lighting, that the host is meticulous. There is no danger associated with the use of round ethanol stoves since they do not emit strong heat. Sitting on the bed and staring blankly at the dancing fireworks, you will feel your worries diminish. In the annex building, there is a room with a water feature that cannot be found in any other accommodations. Throughout the water garden, there are rocks that provide a sense of weight and calmness. Additionally, stepping stones placed around the garden, antique materials that contain time, and non-excessive objects provide comfort for the body and mind. With the bath salt provided in the Jacuzzi, you can relax your lower body and drink tea at the tea ceremony table on the rock.

Consider walking through the nearby Yukrim Bridge during the day, perusing cafes stopping at local shops, and soaking in a warm bath to relieve fatigue. If you wish, you can sit on the toenmaru and gaze at the pinkish sky. When it becomes dark, you can drift off to sleep in a soft bed with your favorite movie playing using a beam projector. A quiet day of contemplation and an emptying-out period should be spent in Stay Hanryang.
