Finding the Tranquility in Your Own Space
Spending some time in a stay would be much like a process of escaping from exhausting daily life and treating yourself to a new experience and relaxation. Gwideokpogu is a small town in Jeju with old hackberries and a beautiful sunset glowing at dusk. This town is home to “Stay Quidi” – a stay that willingly spares its space so its guests to arouse novel feelings while being comfortable.

The nurse tree at the entrance seems to be protecting the house. The traditional housings of Jeju built with stone – with the main building and its annex building - are standing alongside the spacious garden equipped with an outdoor spa and pool, and a BBQ grill. The interior has a modern and minimal finish, continuing to the walls and ceilings to make it look and feel like a gallery filled with paintings, objects, vintage furniture, and lighting that are reflecting the hosts’ tastes. All of these are added to create Stay Quidi’s unique atmosphere. The large kitchen space and two bedrooms are prepared by the host who wish guests to enjoy the spaciousness.

When standing in the green yard, you will hear the sound of bamboo surrounding the stay. Spacing out while sitting on a chair or a bed looking at the yard through the window would be great. In addition, taking a stroll to nearby Gwakji Beach or Hyeopjae Beach is also recommended if you enjoyed a pause at the stay. It may give you tranquility to your tired self.
