A serene stage where water and light can dance
Cheongsuri, meaning 'clear and clean water,' is a pristine village where fireflies live, and the mystical Gotjawal forest is located. 'Surium' is a coined term combining 'Cheongsuri' and 'Woomtta,' meaning 'to sprout.' Positioned on a space surrounded by walls and thickets, 'Surium' rises prominently and is eliberately left open. This space is illuminated with light, hoping to evoke a sense of the richness of Jeju's nature and a clear resurgence of dulled senses in daily life.

Upon opening the wooden door and stepping inside, the serene water of the outdoor swimming pool and the landscaped surroundings fill the heart with richness. Sitting on a sunbed, listening to the sounds of birds while gazing at the sparkling light on the water, one can experience a sense of peace. The interior space combines the rise and fall of the floor with the flow of straight lines and curves, creating a rhythmic feel. The low-level living space allows the gaze to linger on the Gotjawal forest park in the distance. The dining area with an arched ceiling captures Jeju's warm sunlight through the skylight. The bedroom, tucked away like entering a wall, provides an independent space with full-length windows, offering an experience of waking up with the sunrise.

As the day draws to a close, 'Surium' becomes even more serene, and the building with its warm appearance shines like a cozy space. Enjoying an evening swim under the moonlight accompanied by the sounds of evening cicadas, one can truly enjoy a romantic night. With a more flexible mind, feel the newly sprouting inspiration and the energy of recovery.
