Enjoying the Peace and Tranquility of Nature Like a Swallow
In the yard of his grandmother's old house, where he had lived for nearly 100 years, the host looked towards the sky. For a moment, a swallow flew peacefully over it, providing comfort to his tired body and mind. The name "Swallow Jeju" was chosen to convey the idyllic and peaceful feeling of this place.
By utilizing the rocky terrain, called "Villae" in Jeju's language, the Swallow Jeju makes various use of the height of the terrain for the guest's eyes to follow. In the outer garden, palm trees, grass, and grass were used to depict a small Jeju island. Additionally, the interior was designed to continue the appreciation of the exterior space. In order to eliminate artificial feelings, wood was mainly used for furniture and walls, as well as for doors and windows. Nature's greenery was allowed to reach all parts of the eye inside the kitchen, bedroom, and task space through large and long windows. There is no better place to experience the atmosphere of a swallow's nest than the tea room. You will be able to view the entire view beyond the large folding door in the tea room. It was inspired by past experiences to provide you with a relaxing outdoor open-air bath.
Since Swallow Jeju is located in the residential area of Jocheon-ri Village, it is possible to experience the daily life of Jeju while also feeling cozy because of the surrounding fields and land. The prepared letter paper is also a useful tool for writing down what you haven't said to someone who comes to your mind. Jocheon Port is nearby, where you can watch people by the sea or enjoy the sunset.
