    Finding value in magnificent nature
Located at Cape Ashizuri, the southernmost point of Shikoku in Kochi Prefecture, "The Mana Village" is a premier resort facility that revitalized the well-established inn "Ashizuri Pacific Hotel Hanatsubaki," making it one of the top premium resorts in Asia. In 2019, the facility underwent a bold renovation, taking over the business from a local company and transforming underutilized guest rooms and a large pool. The charm of the ingredients and landscapes created by the rich nature of Kochi Prefecture, as well as the artworks crafted by the local people, were maximized to breathe new life into the area, conveying the allure of Ashizuri as a whole. "The Mana" comes from the Kochi dialect, meaning "very" or "extremely," and the Hawaiian word "Mana," which refers to a "supernatural power" or the "power within life." It encapsulates the desire to provide unique experiences that can only be found in this place, offering values that are deeply rooted in the inherent strength of nature. The most significant appeal of "The Mana Village," situated within a national park, is its "untamed nature." Besides commanding views of the magnificent Pacific Ocean from the lobby lounge and guest rooms, the Ocean View Italian Restaurant "Azzurrissimo," created through the bold renovation of the old inn's large pool, allows guests to experience the value that can only be found amidst the grandeur of nature. Additionally, the area includes various facilities such as hotels, restaurants, cafes, markets, and hot springs, offering a range of enjoyable options.

Every detail that enriches the stay at The Mana Village is dedicated to the essence of "Kochi," emphasizing a strong connection to the region. Works by pottery artist Hiroji Morita, who thrives in Tosashimizu City, and glass artisan Eizo Ueki, hailing from Tosa City, are displayed within the interior. Additionally, the walls of the "Café&Bar" feature collaborative artworks by Koho Egami, combined with the craftsmanship of Japanese artisans from "ubushina," using Tosa Washi paper from Kochi Prefecture. The accommodations encompass a variety of types, primarily categorized into Japanese-style rooms (traditional tatami rooms) and Western-style rooms. In the top-tier Twin Room, The Mana DX, guests are provided with an expansive terrace, an open-air bath with views of the sea, and a private sauna. The accommodations are suitable not only for short stays but also for extended periods, making it possible to select rooms based on group size and purpose. Furthermore, meticulous attention has been given to guest room amenities. "Doberman Outfits," featuring 100% organic cotton, are offered as roomwear. The bath amenities feature products from the organic cosmetic brand "NEMOHAMO," reflecting a commitment to both comfort and reducing environmental impact.

Azzurrissimo is an Ocean View Italian Restaurant where you can savor dinner while enjoying a terrace that offers sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. With the pool renovated, the restaurant is situated in a splendid location that resembles floating on the sea. It provides an authentic Italian experience by offering rich ingredients sourced from the mountains of Ashizuri and the Shimanto River. Moreover, at the Live Kitchen, fresh produce from Kochi Prefecture is used to present traditional Japanese course dishes. Here, you can witness the process of grilling bonito over straw flames and the skilled art of filleting fresh fish right in front of you. It's an invitation to leisurely enjoy these experiences alongside the abundant selection of local Tosa sake. Moving on to Café&Bar, you can relish in genuine gelato capturing the flavors of the seasons, cocktails infused with the citrus of Ashizuri, soft drinks, and an original blend of coffee. In the expansive sofa seats, you can unwind while taking in the panoramic sea view and indulging in delicious gelato, easing the fatigue of your journey as you proceed with your check-in. Additionally, there's the recommendation of engaging in marine leisure activities in the sea-facing facility or embarking on a sightseeing tour using the iconic Thai vehicle "Tuk-Tuk." At TheMana Village, where the community comes together to create something truly unique, we invite you to experience an extraordinary stay that transcends the ordinary.
