Come Explore the Lush Country in Luxury Comfort
Topas Ecolodge is situated within the boundaries of the exceptional Hoang Lien National Park. The park is in Lao Cai province and stretches south from the outskirts of Sapa town. The protected area encompasses approximately 30 km2 of scenic mountainous landscape, including Vietnam’s highest peak, Mt Fansipan (3142m) and the Hoang Lien mountain range. As the elevation increases, upper montane evergreen forests appear, while higher elevations are home to subalpine forests. Three hundred and forty seven bird species have been recorded in and around the nature reserve as well as approximately one third of Vietnam’s known amphibian species, the most densely inhabited protected area in the country. Several amphibian species are currently known to be found only in this site, and around 10 per cent of the park’s amphibian species are globally threatened. Invertebrate diversity is also very high, and many species of invertebrate discovered here have not been recorded anywhere else in the world.
Topas Ecolodge consists of 41 stylish chalet-style stone bungalows in local white granite from the Hoang Lien mountains, each with its own spacious balcony overlooking an expansive vista of towering mountain peaks and stunning, rice-terraced valleys. The bungalows at Topas Ecolodge were built with you in mind, hoping to help you completely escape from everyday life and immerse yourself into pure nature. To help you achieve this, there is no TV or Wi-Fi in the rooms – but don’t worry, you can spend the whole day on your private balcony mesmerized by the mountains, in the two saltwater infinity pools, or the spa.
Due to the unique location of the lodge in the remote Hoang Lien National Park, yet just a quick 45-minute drive away from the little town of Sapa, guests are spoiled for choice when it comes to discovering one of the most beautiful regions in all of Vietnam. Topas Ecolodge is ideal for exploring the awe-inspiring nature of northern Vietnam as well as the diverse minority villages of the area via active pursuits like hiking and biking and/or cultural immersion through village visits, market stops, and textile workshops.
