‘동양의 하와이’라 불리는 파타야는 원래 이름 없는 작은 어촌에 불과했다. 베트남 전쟁 이후 휴양지로 개발된 지금은 해변을 따라 이어진 호텔과 바, 레스토랑 등의 화려한 불빛이 밤새 바다를 비춘다. 사람이 북적이는 파타야 해변과 다르게 비교적 한가한 좀티엔 해변에 위치한 '유 파타야'는 자연 친화적 인테리어가 매력적인 곳이다.

유 파타야는 어부의 마을을 테마로 소박하지만 현대적인 스타일로 디자인되었다. 곳곳에 대나무와 지푸라기, 그리고 물고기 모양의 모빌로 꾸며진 인테리어 디테일을 찾아볼 수 있다. 초가집과 비슷한 외관을 보고 있자면 외국의 원주민들이 사는 외딴 마을의 모습이 떠오른다. 스테이 내 이동하는 길은 나무와 수풀로 우거져 자연 속에서의 쉼을 실감하게 한다.

Pattaya, called Asia’s Hawaii, was originally just a small fishing village without a name. Developed as a vacation spot after the Vietnam War, the colorful lights of hotels, bars and restaurants along the beach illuminate the sea all night. Unlike the crowded Pattaya Beach, however, U Pattaya, located on the relatively quiet Jomtien Beach, is an attractive place with nature-friendly interiors.

U Pattaya is designed in a simple yet modern style with a fisherman's village theme. You can find interior details decorated with bamboo, straw, and fish-shaped mobiles everywhere. The exterior that resembles a thatched house will bring you an image of a remote village where indigenous people live. Travel path inside the hotel is abundant with trees and bushes, allowing you to feel rest in nature.

As Pattaya has been developed as a vacation spot, you can enjoy various water sports and driving along the coast. It is also good to experience unusual activities such as parachute or windsurfing in the sky above the sea. Lying on a sunbed on a long stretch of beach and taking a short nap in the warm Pattaya sun will be even more memorable than sleeping at any five-star hotel.
