Wolryeong-ri is a small village, a home to prickly pear that can fit in your palm. Surprisingly, it was brought by the current from Mexico. The village is the only cactus colony in Korea, officially designated as Korea's Natural Memorial No. 429. Just like the cacti that quietly traveled and spread from Mexico, Wollyeong Suninjang also naturally found its root here in the village.
There’s a living room, kitchen, dining area and two bedrooms inside the house and a courtyard, swimming pool, an open-air bath on the rooftop outside. Both inside and outside of the house naturally connect to each other as the owner aimed to create a circulating space between these two. The living room has a tall ceiling and the sun embraces the entire space during the day. It has a comfortable couch and vintage lamp, perfect for reading a book or listening to music. Families will enjoy their conversation over a meal in the dining area. The ceiling window lets the sunlight in, presenting an extraordinary feeling. Each bedroom has a unique vibe, designed with different themes.
Every space in the house starts from the courtyard, which is the center of the house. Extension of your sight is achieved by connecting the space horizontally and vertically through the courtyard. In particular, the staircase and a mandarin tree in the courtyard vertically extends the spaciousness. The view of the sea over the roofs of the cactus village on the rooftop will leave you speechless. Enjoy your private rest in Wolryeong-ri, filled with exotic feelings.
