"Blindwhale" wants to offer Jeju-ness to those who are seeking to leave behind their daily lives. This unique space looks out on the surrounding villages and the sea while its architecture and design makes your journey feel unique.
Building the most "Jeju-esque" home was the goal of the minds behind "Blindwhale". The original shape of the Jeju stone house, the low floor height and the uneven stone wall have all been preserved. Windows were opened to draw only the surrounding village and ocean views. The old original materials that made up the gates and floors were given a second life as tables and beds. Preserving an original Jeju stone house is a lot of hard work and so we hope that the experience of staying here will be an opportunity to discover the beautiful value of Jeju.
Key Features
UNIQUE DESIGN
Stone walls, pillars, and rafters made of local basalt using traditional methods. The old traditional stone house is modernized to create a warm space filled with Jeju sensibility.
OPEN-AIR BATH
There is an outdoor open-air bath facing the sea. The open-air bath with the horizon far away and the sound of the waves crashing relieve the fatigue of travel. The open-air bath is available in the Sea whale accommodation and an indoor tub is available in the Forest whale accommodation.
REAL JEJU
Stroll around Jocheon Village where the Blind Whale is located and stop for a while. Wherever you go, beautiful sceneries spread out. As you enjoy the nature and the town's atmosphere inside and outside, you'll find Jeju's charm around every corner.
Explore the Area
When driving here, please search for the address [3080-2, Jocheon-ri, Jocheon-eup, Jeju city, Jeju island]. It is about 40 minutes from Jeju International Airport. If you leave the airport and head east, you arrive in Jocheon-ri, a small seaside town. Enter the small alley next to the 'Seoul Kosa Mart' shop and follow the street to see a small town square facing the sea on the left. We are at the end of the road.
For public transportation, take bus 38 at Jeju International Airport and get off at Jocheon 2-ri Station. From 'Cosme Mart' you can easily walk the rest of the way to the property.
