GURUME
Happy village on cloud
Grume, which means "happy village on cloud," is the first traditional residence resort in Korea. It consists of eight traditional houses that were reconstructed from the verge of being lost due to the construction of the Andong Dam in 2005. The eight-house, which has history of 200 to 400 years, serves as an excellent bridge between the past and the present through a modern reconstruction of the traditional structure. In here visitors can experience customs of the Seonbi rooted in Andong.
Grume is also meaningful as a creative example of government and public co-working protecting the natural value of the region. It is operated by the social enterprise 'Happy traditional village' made by ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and Andong City, and has taken the lead in introducing Korean sincerity and hospitality to many people. In addition, various traditional experience programs, dinning & book cafés, and convention facilities are also well equipped.

The address of the resort is [745 Seonggok-dong Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do]. Follow the directions on the navigation. It is located next to Andong Dam and Andong Cultural Tourism Complex.
When using public transportation, you can get off at the museum stop by bus No. 3 in front of Andong Station and walk about 15 minutes on foot. I recommend using private cars rather than public transportation.
